Yesterday we flew from Honolulu to San Francisco and then checked into a hotel near the airport for the night. This afternoon we picked up our hire car; we managed to book a brand new Cadillac SRX for $45 a day, it is the best car we have had and the cheapest! We think there must have been a bug with their website as it’s supposed to be $250 a day 🙂
It took us about 4 hours to get from San Francisco to the the edge of Yosemite National Park and was a beautiful scenic drive. The lodge we are staying at is called Sierra Mountain Lodge in a tiny town called Ahwahnee in the middle of nowhere!
