We decided to use the day to find some waterproof clothes for our rafting trip on Monday, so we drove around for most of the day and finally found somewhere called REI; a camping/outdoor store. As we were nearby we stopped off at Red Rock Canyon and took the scenic drive around as it was quite chilly. The Canyon is a stunning red rock and has about 20 hiking trails and rock climbing, wish we had somewhere like that in Farnborough!
As it was a Saturday night we booked a table at Nove Italiano in the Palms Hotel. We didn’t realise when we booked but its on the 51st floor and has the most amazing views over the city, and also has a Playboy Bunny club above! We had a great steak and a few glasses of Pinot then went down to the cinema to watch Battle: Los Angeles but I was a bit drunk and kept nearly falling asleep. We both agreed it was good but nothing will Beat Independence Day.
