Today we wanted to see the sights of New York so started off on the ferry from Battery Park to Liberty Island. The queues were huge because it is Saturday so we stayed on the boat to get photos rather than go onto Liberty Island. We arrived back in Manhattan and walked to the World Trade Centre to see what the new centre looked like, it is still a huge construction site but they had a 9/11 Memorial Preview Site so we could see what it would look like when finished. Since we were in the area we walked towards the Brooklyn Bridge and got a photo.
We got on the Subway back to Times Square and went to the cinema to see Water for Elephants. I had wanted to see it for a while and where better to watch it than in Times Square! We walked quite a lot today so got the subway back to our hotel and ordered some room service, Con Air was on the TV, bonus!
